What is your favorite "Trick" for making meetings more effective?

I make a list of 'bullet points' that I want to cover in the meeting.
I might add a comment of two under the 'bullet points' to emphasise or elaborate on the message I am conveying. I try to limit the 'bullet points'I want to cover in the meeting. I also try to anticipate what questions might arise and prepare myself to answer them as breifly as I can.
