Cortes J. “Jody” Bicking is a founding partner of the firm. His areas of expertise include management and leadership training, individualized coaching, sales and sales management training, organizational development, and team building. He also has an extensive background as an expert witness and consultant on brokerage firm operations.

Prior to joining Achev, Jody enjoyed a successful 22 year career with Merrill Lynch. During his time there, he rose through the ranks from financial consultant to directing and leading the operations of multiple Merrill Lynch branches. Jody’s practical education in leadership and business began in the United States Army. During his six years in the Army, he earned a commission as a second lieutenant in the infantry and later qualified for and became a member of the elite army ranger program. While in the Army, he held several platoon and company leadership positions. At one point he was selected as aide-de-camp to General David Grange. After leaving the Army at the rank of captain, Jody was involved in the real estate management business in Florida for several years before beginning his career at Merrill Lynch.

Jody enjoys helping our clients succeed by providing them with outstanding service and solutions. He excels in providing individualized coaching services and crafting organizational improvement solutions. He is Achev’s “resident expert” in the application of our cultural assessment process (CAP), which helps organizations identity cultural disconnects among its employees and then plan and implement strategies that will successfully move the organization forward.

He earned a B.S. degree in mathematics from Florida Southern College. He has since attained an M.S. degree in Organizational Management (MAOM). Bicking also has earned the Certified Professional Coach (CPC) designation. He is a certified instructor in The Blanchard Institute’s Situational Leadership training program, as well as a certified instructor in the Dana Institute’s Conflict Management program. As the result of his long career in the financial services industry, he is also a certified financial planner and holds a number of financial industry related licenses and certifications.

Despite a very busy and productive business career, Jody finds time to participate in community affairs. He has previously held an elected position as a city council member in Punta Gorda, Florida. He has also previously served as a director on two hospital boards.
