Michael S. Dye Partner Achev, Inc

Michael S. “Mike” Dye is a founding partner of the firm. His areas of expertise include training and developing salespeople and sales management, marketing and strategic planning, executive management development, and effective utilization and management of corporate travel and entertainment expenditures.

Prior to joining Achev, Mike served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Vulcan Chemicals Company, a division of Vulcan Materials, a Birmingham based Fortune 500 company. His career in the chemical industry spans more than 26 years. His experience spans the areas of purchasing, sales, sales management and marketing management.

He was previously was employed by Diamond Shamrock Chemicals (now OxyChem Division of Occidental Petroleum) and Degussa Corporation before coming to Vulcan Chemicals in 1996. His industry experience covered a wide spectrum of end-use industries, and includes experience in developing and maintaining international sales and account relationships.

Mike is certified as a Quality Education System instructor in the Crosby Quality System. He has also been trained as a six sigma green belt and was trained to be a certified job grader in the Hay Compensation System. He has also served on the Boards of two joint venture companies.

Mike’s expertise and skills in training and consulting are centered on delivering our clients the results they need in developing sales talent and sales management expertise, as well as assisting clients with marketing strategies, business planning and execution.

Mike has been a popular choice speaker at international chemical industry conferences on numerous occasions. He is a graduate of Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, Ohio, earning a degree as B.S. in Business Administration, with a major in Sales and Marketing Management.  Mike is also a 1998 graduate of The Executive Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
